Endorsements

“As a teenager, no one took my desire to write seriously, so I didn’t either. How different it might have been had someone handed me a copy of Oasis Pages back then. Grace Welker’s inviting and thoughtful approach to establishing a daily writing practice, along with inspiring prompts, quotes, and tips she offers could have opened spaces within myself I didn’t even know existed.”

—Danna Faulds, author of seven books of poetry, including Go in and In

“Writing saved my life, and it took me years to figure out that paying attention to my own thoughts could help me find my own inspired way in the world, like no other tool. I can’t imagine how much better my life would have been if I’d had the Oasis Pages when I was going through my most turbulent years. I LOVE the prompts in this book that really help you to start caring about your own life, voice, and sensibilities and to strengthen yourself with self-knowledge.

Grab a copy of the Oasis Pages for every teen you know. It’s one of the BEST investments you will ever make. In a world of overwhelm, social media, and so much screen time, the Oasis Pages is a fun, fresh way for teens to get to know the most important resource of their lifetimes: themselves.”

—Tama Kieves, USA Today-featured visionary career coach and bestselling author of Thriving Through Uncertainty (www.tamakieves.com)

“I picked up the Oasis Pages Teen Writing Quest thinking I’d buy copies for the teens in my life. And I will! It’s beautifully designed, the text is original and inviting, and the approach is smart and real. But after reading through it, I wanted to keep a copy for myself, too!

I love that this journal eschews the dogma of writing every day and instead leaves space for days you just don’t feel like putting pen to paper. But the tone and invitations to write are so encouraging and creative that it sparks a desire to get started and curiosity about what one will discover on the journey.”

“My curious, lonely, and adventurous 13-year-old self would have loved the Oasis Pages Teen Writing Quest. The writing prompts and explorations in this book really grab your attention and invite you to enter the mysterious realm of your own creative mind. Everything about the Teen Writing Quest promotes habits of emotional intelligence and creative thinking.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Grace Welker, MEd, is a writer, educator, and word lover who creates curiosity-based writing experiences. A diary-journal-notebook keeper since age 10, she loves finding unique ways for people, especially younger people, to write themselves down. Grace, originally from Long Island, ran a volunteer program at her university in Washington, DC, then lived in Morocco and Spain, where she taught English and trained teachers. Grace worked as Editorial Director at a yoga retreat center in Massachusetts for seven years, called New York’s Hudson Valley home for 20 years, and now lives in Utah —where she is fascinated by petroglyphs.
